Biota Neotropica是由Biota /FAPESP項目:虛擬生物多樣性研究所(Virtual Institute of Biodiversity)編輯的一份經(jīng)過同行評議的電子期刊。該雜志的目的是傳播有關(guān)新熱帶地區(qū)生物多樣性特征、保護和可持續(xù)利用的原始研究工作成果，無論這些研究工作是否與該計劃有關(guān)。它的縮寫是Biota Neotrop。，并應在書目、腳注、參考文獻和書目條中使用。該期刊采用連續(xù)出版模式，每年出版4期。

Biota Neotropica is an electronic, peer-reviewed journal edited by the Program BIOTA/FAPESP: The Virtual Institute of Biodiversity. This journal's aim is to disseminate the results of original research work, associated or not to the program, concerned with characterization, conservation and sustainable use of biodiversity within the Neotropical region.Its abbreviated title is Biota Neotrop., and it should be used in bibliographies, footnotes, references and bibliographic strips.This journal publishes in a continuous publication model, with 4 issues per year.
