《古世界》是一份同行評(píng)議的季刊，致力于古生物學(xué)和地層學(xué)的研究，以中國(guó)和周邊地區(qū)為重點(diǎn)。我們鼓勵(lì)提交化石研究和地層學(xué)各方面的原創(chuàng)作品，將區(qū)域數(shù)據(jù)與世界其他地區(qū)在時(shí)間和空間上進(jìn)行比較，并報(bào)告相關(guān)學(xué)科領(lǐng)域跨學(xué)科調(diào)查的結(jié)果。有些問(wèn)題將完全集中于一個(gè)特別的主題，而另一些問(wèn)題將由投稿的文章組成。古世界致力于為地球科學(xué)和古生物學(xué)研究人員提供廣泛的服務(wù)，并為進(jìn)化生物學(xué)、歷史地質(zhì)學(xué)、古海洋學(xué)、古生物學(xué)、系統(tǒng)學(xué)、分類學(xué)和科學(xué)史等領(lǐng)域的學(xué)生提供資源。古世界在以下領(lǐng)域發(fā)表原創(chuàng)文章:?所有化石群的系統(tǒng)和分類學(xué)研究?生物地層學(xué)、化學(xué)地層學(xué)年代地層學(xué)?古生態(tài)學(xué)、古環(huán)境和地球歷史上的全球變化?生物進(jìn)化的節(jié)奏和模式?地球歷史上重大的生物事件(如滅絕、輻射)?生態(tài)系統(tǒng)進(jìn)化?分子古生物學(xué)?古生物學(xué)和地層學(xué)方法?跨學(xué)科研究，側(cè)重化石和地層古世界接受下列類別的貢獻(xiàn):?原始技術(shù)研究論文和案例研究?評(píng)論文章(通常邀請(qǐng))?關(guān)于主題的文章集合?短筆記?給編輯的信?書(shū)評(píng)

Palaeoworld is a peer-reviewed quarterly journal dedicated to studies in palaeontology and stratigraphy with a focus on China and surrounding regions. We encouraging submission of original works on all aspects of fossil studies and stratigraphy, comparisons of regional data with other areas in time and space worldwide, and the reporting of results generated by interdisciplinary investigations in related subject fields. Some issues will be devoted entirely to a special theme whereas others will be composed of contributed articles. Palaeoworld is dedicated to serving a broad spectrum of geoscience and palaeobiological researchers as well as serving as a resource for students in fields as diverse as evolutionary biology, historical geology, palaeoceanography, palaeobiology, systematics, taxonomy, and the history of science.Palaeoworld publishes original articles in the following areas:?Systematic and taxonomic studies of all fossil groups?Biostratigraphy, chemostratigraphy, chronostratigraphy?Palaeoecology, palaeoenvironment and global changes throughout Earth history?Tempo and mode of biological evolution?Significant biological events in Earth history (e.g., extinctions, radiations)?Ecosystem evolution?Molecular palaeontology?Palaeontological and stratigraphic methods?Interdisciplinary studies focusing on fossils and strataPalaeoworld accepts the following categories of contributions:?Original technical research papers and case studies?Review articles (normally invited)?Collections of articles on a theme?Short notes?Letters to the Editors?Book reviews
