Palaeoworld is a peer-reviewed quarterly journal dedicated to studies in palaeontology and stratigraphy with a focus on China and surrounding regions. We encouraging submission of original works on all aspects of fossil studies and stratigraphy, comparisons of regional data with other areas in time and space worldwide, and the reporting of results generated by interdisciplinary investigations in related subject fields. Some issues will be devoted entirely to a special theme whereas others will be composed of contributed articles. Palaeoworld is dedicated to serving a broad spectrum of geoscience and palaeobiological researchers as well as serving as a resource for students in fields as diverse as evolutionary biology, historical geology, palaeoceanography, palaeobiology, systematics, taxonomy, and the history of science.Palaeoworld publishes original articles in the following areas:?Systematic and taxonomic studies of all fossil groups?Biostratigraphy, chemostratigraphy, chronostratigraphy?Palaeoecology, palaeoenvironment and global changes throughout Earth history?Tempo and mode of biological evolution?Significant biological events in Earth history (e.g., extinctions, radiations)?Ecosystem evolution?Molecular palaeontology?Palaeontological and stratigraphic methods?Interdisciplinary studies focusing on fossils and strataPalaeoworld accepts the following categories of contributions:?Original technical research papers and case studies?Review articles (normally invited)?Collections of articles on a theme?Short notes?Letters to the Editors?Book reviews
