海馬體為對海馬體形成和相關結構的神經生物學感興趣的研究人員提供了一個交流當前信息的論壇。當提交的論文與海馬形成的關系將被自由地評估，適當的論文的內容應該處理海馬形成本身或海馬形成與其他大腦區域之間的相互作用。該雜志的范圍很廣:從基礎科學的各個領域的單一和多學科的實驗研究，理論論文，論文處理海馬制劑作為了解中樞神經系統的模型和臨床研究將考慮出版。編輯特別鼓勵提交有助于對海馬形成的功能理解的論文�！逗ｑR》為雙月刊。

Hippocampus provides a forum for the exchange of current information between investigators interested in the neurobiology of the hippocampal formation and related structures. While the relationships of submitted papers to the hippocampal formation will be evaluated liberally the substance of appropriate papers should deal with the hippocampal formation per se or with the interaction between the hippocampal formation and other brain regions. The scope of the journal is wide: single and multidisciplinary experimental studies from all fields of basic science theoretical papers papers dealing with hippocampal preparations as models for understanding the central nervous system and clinical studies will be considered for publication. The Editor especially encourages the submission of papers that contribute to a functional understanding of the hippocampal formation. Hippocampus is published as a bimonthly journal.
