雜草科學以同行評議的形式發表原創研究和學術論文，重點是與農業系統中雜草科學的所有方面直接相關的基礎研究。雜草科學的主題包括:-農業、林業、水產、草皮、休閑娛樂、通行權等環境中雜草的生物學和生態學、雜草遺傳學-除草劑抗性、除草劑和植物生長調節劑的化學、生物化學、生理學和分子作用，用于管理不良的植被-種植生態學和與雜草管理有關的其他農業系統-生物和生態方面的雜草控制工具，包括生物制劑和抗除草劑作物-雜草管理對土壤、空氣和水的影響。

Weed Science publishes original research and scholarship in the form of peer-reviewed articles focused on fundamental research directly related to all aspects of weed science in agricultural systems. Topics for Weed Science include: - the biology and ecology of weeds in agricultural, forestry, aquatic, turf, recreational, rights-of-way and other settings, genetics of weeds- herbicide resistance, chemistry, biochemistry, physiology and molecular action of herbicides and plant growth regulators used to manage undesirable vegetation - ecology of cropping and other agricultural systems as they relate to weed management- biological and ecological aspects of weed control tools including biological agents, and herbicide resistant crops - effect of weed management on soil, air and water.
