PCFD于2004年出版了6期，但從2005年增加到了8期，是一本提供國際論壇和參考計算流體動力學領域權威信息來源的雜志。在過去的十年里，CFD已經(jīng)發(fā)展到了如此成熟的程度，以至于現(xiàn)在它被認為是一個廣泛的、不斷增加的工業(yè)應用領域中不可或缺的分析和設計工具。我們相信，申請工作和開發(fā)工作一樣值得尊敬。實際的流動問題往往是如此復雜，以致于在諸如在工業(yè)環(huán)境中找到建模復雜性和實用性之間的適當權衡、定義邊界條件或解釋結果以更好地理解流動物理等問題上需要高度的獨創(chuàng)性。連接到計算機輔助設計和使用計算流體動力學開發(fā)工業(yè)設計系統(tǒng)是一個更具挑戰(zhàn)性的領域。因此，CFD的創(chuàng)新應用同樣受到鼓勵。PCFD的最終目標是通過平衡來自這兩個領域的國際和跨學科貢獻，為模型、軟件開發(fā)人員和用戶之間的信息交換提供一個平臺。它旨在傳播有關數(shù)學和數(shù)值模型、軟件工具及其在CFD領域的創(chuàng)新應用的開發(fā)和完善的信息。

PCFD, published in 6 issues in 2004 but increased to 8 from 2005, is a journal that provides an international forum and refereed authoritative source of information in the field of computational fluid dynamics. Within the last decade, CFD has gained such maturity that it is now considered to be an indispensable analysis and design tool in a wide, and always increasing range of industrial applications. We believe that the application work can be as honourable as the development work. The practical flow problems are often so complex that a high level of ingenuity is required in issues such as finding a suitable trade-off between modelling complexity and practicability within the industrial environment, defining boundary conditions, or interpretation of the results for a better understanding of the flow physics. Connection to CAD and development of industrial design systems using CFD is a further challenging area. Thus, innovative applications of CFD are equally encouraged. The ultimate goal of PCFD is to provide a platform for information exchange between model and software developers and users, by balanced international and interdisciplinary contributions from both areas. It aims to disseminate information relating to development and refinement of mathematical and numerical models, software tools and their innovative applications in the area of CFD.
