功能植物生物學(前身為澳大利亞植物生理學雜志)發(fā)表具有廣泛興趣的論文,增進我們對植物運作和與環(huán)境相互作用機制的認識。特別令人感興趣的是植物適應極端環(huán)境條件的機制和信號轉(zhuǎn)導途徑,例如高溫和低溫、干旱、洪水、鹽分、病原體和其他主要的非生物和生物脅迫因素。FPB還鼓勵發(fā)表關于植物生物學中新興概念和新工具的論文,以及對以下功能領域的研究,包括從分子到整個植物到社區(qū)規(guī)模的工作。FPB并不僅僅發(fā)表現(xiàn)象學觀察結(jié)果或僅僅具有應用意義的發(fā)現(xiàn)。重點領域:環(huán)境生理學壓力和適應植物細胞生物學植物生長發(fā)育光合作用和碳水化合物代謝營養(yǎng)物質(zhì)的吸收、運輸和代謝有效利用資源(水;完成;營養(yǎng))根際生物學生殖、種子和果實生物學國防和保護新興科學歡迎發(fā)表關于這些主題的觀點文章和重點評論。

Functional Plant Biology (formerly known as Australian Journal of Plant Physiology) publishes papers of a broad interest that advance our knowledge on mechanisms by which plants operate and interact with environment. Of specific interest are mechanisms and signal transduction pathways by which plants adapt to extreme environmental conditions such as high and low temperatures, drought, flooding, salinity, pathogens, and other major abiotic and biotic stress factors. FPB also encourages papers on emerging concepts and new tools in plant biology, and studies on the following functional areas encompassing work from the molecular through whole plant to community scale.
