這本雙月刊涵蓋了變質研究的全部范圍，從單個晶體的尺度到巖石圈板塊的尺度。《變質地質學雜志》匯集了變質巖石學、礦床地質學、地球化學、構造學和構造地質學等領域的科學家，至今仍與17年前創(chuàng)刊時一樣具有創(chuàng)新性。自創(chuàng)辦以來，該雜志一直與幾個協(xié)會有聯(lián)系，包括:地質學會(英國);歐洲地球科學聯(lián)盟;美國礦物學學會;加拿大礦物學協(xié)會;澳大利亞地質學會。

This bimonthly title encompasses the entire range of metamorphic studies, from the scale of individual crystals to that of lithospheric plates. Bringing together scientists working in metamorphic petrology, mineral deposit geology, geochemistry, tectonics, and structural geology, the Journal of Metamorphic Geology remains as innovative today as it was seventeen years ago when it began. Since its inception, the Journal has been associated with several societies including: The Geological Society (UK); The European Union of Geosciences; The Mineralogical Society of America; The Canadian Mineralogical Association; The Geological Society of Australia.
