真菌遺傳學和生物學，以前被稱為實驗真菌學，發(fā)表關于真菌及其傳統(tǒng)盟友的實驗研究，它們的結構和功能與生長、繁殖、形態(tài)發(fā)生和分化有關。本雜志特別歡迎在細胞、亞細胞和分子水平上研究基因組織和表達以及發(fā)育過程。該雜志還包括適當?shù)膶嶒炑芯空婢�細胞學，生物化學，生理學，遺傳學和系統(tǒng)發(fā)育。真菌遺傳學和生物學出版由真菌學家、細胞生物學家、生物化學家、遺傳學家和分子生物學家進行的基礎研究。

Fungal Genetics and Biology, formerly known as Experimental Mycology, publishes experimental investigations of fungi and their traditional allies that relate structure and function to growth, reproduction, morphogenesis, and differentiation. This journal especially welcomes studies of gene organization and expression and of developmental processes at the cellular, subcellular, and molecular levels. The journal also includes suitable experimental inquiries into fungal cytology, biochemistry, physiology, genetics, and phylogeny.Fungal Genetics and Biology publishes basic research conducted by mycologists, cell biologists, biochemists, geneticists, and molecular biologists.
