BIT由Carl Erik Froberg于1961年創(chuàng)建。這個名字是“Tidskrift for information behandling”的縮寫。從一開始，計算機科學(xué)和技術(shù)的廣泛領(lǐng)域就被涵蓋，但自1992年以來，重點一直放在數(shù)字數(shù)學(xué)上。目標和范圍BIT在快速發(fā)展的數(shù)值分析領(lǐng)域發(fā)表原創(chuàng)研究論文。BIT所涵蓋的基本領(lǐng)域是數(shù)值方法的開發(fā)和分析，以及科學(xué)計算算法的設(shè)計和使用。比特所強調(diào)的主題包括近似中的數(shù)值方法、線性代數(shù)、常微分方程和偏微分方程。

BIT was started by Carl Erik Fr?berg in 1961. The name is an acronym for "Tidskrift f?r Informationsbehandling" read backwards. From the outset, a wide area of computer science and technology was covered, but since 1992 the focus has been on Numerical Mathematics.Aims and ScopeBIT publishes original research papers in the rapidly developing field of numerical analysis. The essential areas covered by BIT are development and analysis of numerical methods as well as the design and use of algorithms for scientific computing. Topics emphasized by BIT include numerical methods in approximation, linear algebra, and ordinary and partial differential equations.
