《荒野與環境醫學》提供了來自全球科學家和從業者的原始研究和臨床報告。它出版了關于荒野醫學各個方面的文章，包括高空和攀登、與冷熱有關的現象、自然環境災害、浸沒和接近溺水、潛水和氣壓傷、危險的植物/動物/昆蟲/海洋動物、動物攻擊、搜救、倫理和法律問題、航空醫療運輸，生存生理學、遠程環境醫學、旅行醫學和野外創傷管理。社論、專題評論、野外隨筆、書評、文獻摘要和致編輯的信件是野外醫學和環境醫學的常規特征，是由野外醫學會出版。

Wilderness and Environmental Medicine presents original research and clinical reports from scientists and practitioners around the globe. It publishes articles on all aspects of wilderness medicine, including high altitude and climbing, cold-and heat-related phenomena, natural environmental disasters, immersion and near-drowning, diving and barotrauma, hazardous plants/animals/insects/marine animals, animal attacks, search and rescue, ethical and legal issues, aeromedical transport, survival physiology, medicine in remote environments, travel medicine, and wilderness trauma management. Editorials, topical reviews, wilderness essays, book reviews, abstracts of the literature, and letters to the Editor are regular features of Wilderness and Environmental Medicine, which is published for the Wilderness Medical Society.
