分子生態(tài)學(xué)資源鼓勵(lì)為社區(qū)開(kāi)發(fā)廣泛的資源，包括計(jì)算機(jī)程序、統(tǒng)計(jì)和分子進(jìn)展以及廣泛的分子工具。該雜志是傳播這些資源的媒介，目標(biāo)是進(jìn)化、生態(tài)和保護(hù)領(lǐng)域的廣泛研究人員。《分子生態(tài)學(xué)資源》上的文章旨在促進(jìn)研究解決這些領(lǐng)域中相應(yīng)的問(wèn)題。除了新的資源文章，分子生態(tài)資源還發(fā)表相關(guān)評(píng)論、意見(jiàn)和評(píng)論。該雜志還偶爾出版強(qiáng)調(diào)某一特定領(lǐng)域資源開(kāi)發(fā)的特刊。關(guān)于生態(tài)學(xué)、進(jìn)化、行為和保護(hù)的實(shí)證研究報(bào)告，而不是新的資源和工具，應(yīng)該提交給我們的伙伴期刊《分子生態(tài)學(xué)》。那些主要是描述性的和只與正在研究的分類(lèi)單元相關(guān)的論文，而沒(méi)有解決一個(gè)在生態(tài)學(xué)中更廣泛應(yīng)用的問(wèn)題，是不適合分子生態(tài)學(xué)的，而應(yīng)該提交給一個(gè)更專(zhuān)業(yè)的期刊或生態(tài)學(xué)與進(jìn)化論。

Molecular Ecology Resources encourages development of broad resources for the community including computer programs, statistical and molecular advances, and extensive molecular tools. The journal is a vehicle for dissemination of these resources, targeting a wide audience of researchers in the fields of evolution, ecology, and conservation. Articles in Molecular Ecology Resources are intended to facilitate studies addressing consequential questions in these fields.In addition to novel resource articles, Molecular Ecology Resources publishes relevant Reviews, Opinions, and Comments. The journal also publishes occasional Special Issues that emphasize development of resources in a particular area.Papers that report on empirical research in ecology, evolution, behavior, and conservation, rather than new resources and tools, should be submitted to our companion journal, Molecular Ecology.Papers that are primarily descriptive and relevant only to the taxon being studied without addressing a question more broadly applicable in ecology are not appropriate for Molecular Ecology and should instead be submitted to a more specialized journal or to Ecology & Evolution.
