The journal guides epidemiologists, public health investigators, and health professionals (physicians, nurses, dentists, pharmacists) to what's new and important in epidemiological research, including the latest principles and methods of data analysis. Encouraging contributions that challenge hardened ideas and alert the scientific community to new developments, the journal has recently reported on such topics as mortality among cellular telephone customers; caffeine consumption and spontaneous abortion; and NSAIDs and breast cancer.
